After losing their charter their fraternity house was torn down and they suffered a significant loss in alumni support and goodwill.
The chapter began re-colonizing in 1994 under the leadership of one particularly single-minded and energetic alumnus.
Alumni were hesitant to commit their time or their funds to an institution with an uncertain future – their involvement was limited.
Affinity Connection Solution
Affinity Connection created and managed a successful development program on behalf of the fraternity, including database management (the foundation of all development programs), communications and event management.
The plan focused on building relationships. The goal was to remind alumni of the ties they share through their fraternity chapter, and to renew those ties by reacquainting them with each other and the revitalized chapter.
This goal was achieved through an annual golf outing, an event during the big football game of the season and an alumni event that coincided with the college reunion. An Affinity Connection newsletter reinforced the feeling of community with profiles, chapter news and trends at the college.
Results
